Magic The Gathering Duels of The PlanesWalkers 2013 Download PC Review
For that uninitiated, the basic principles in Magic are fairly easy to know. Players will draw cards revealing creatures, magic, equipment, and lands. Lands are what supply the mana you’ll have to cast your entire cards, and players is going to take turns spending that mana to call new cards onto the battlefield so that they can reduce their opponent’s life to zero. Having said that, there’s actually a great deal occurring in Magic to generate these basics happen, and mastering the varying elements is vital to playing well. Fortunately, the sport provides a pretty comprehensive tutorial to experience through, and a various reminders and hints that one could start and off without notice.
Every battle won by you within the single player game will unlock a fresh card for that deck you’re using. With 10 decks, each with 30 unlockable cards, that’s lots of time you’ll have the ability to purchase the one player ahead of the carrot disappears in the end with the stick. As well as those unlocked cards will continue on the multiplayer – which can be where lots of players have the real meat and potatoes in the game resides – Magic 2013 is really a game that will well make you stay playing until Magic 2014 hits digital shelves once next season.
The most important differ from 2012 could be the inclusion of Planechase multiplayer (both from the AI and against real players). Whereas Magic has traditionally been described as two-player affair, Planechase emphasizes the thought of group multiplayer. Supporting approximately 4 players, the overall game is concentrated around “plane cards” that become a conference of sorts. Each plane card will get a new game’s rules in the certain way, and drawing a fresh one (or “walking to a different plane,” since the lingo goes) can change the policies once more. For anyone who’ve learned the basic principles, it gives you up a neat new sort of challenge that doesn’t require considerably more when compared to a basic idea of the sport.
One other big change, naturally, could be that the series has finally chose to planeswalk on up to the iPad. There are a lot of great cards about the device throughout the last couple of years (noticably the Kyle Poole developed Shadow Era), but also in the final, all of them left us asking “why isn’t Magic with a touchscreen technology yet?” The people at Wizards from the Coast heard us loud and clear, after having spent a little while with both PC and iPad versions, we’re glad to claim that the iPad version is every bit as as effective as its PC counterpart. According to your personal machine specs, it can be best of all. The Retina display around the third generation iPad makes all the art on these credit cards pop – and we’re talking art that’s already exquisite to start with.
Magic 2013 also introduces a very neat player stats screen that lets players find out about how many times they’re using different colors of mana, leaderboard positions, “most” numbers like damage done or creatures in play, and much more. Other little tweaks, like reading an undeniable fact sheet about opposing Planeswalkers before a battle in single player, are nice touches at the same time. Little enhancements such as this make 2013 a lot more evolution than revolution, in the finish, all the new changes allow me to share good things.
